We're working with a well-established specialist within the recycling and waste equipment sector, supporting some of the UK's largest recycling operations, waste processing facilities and industrial sites. The business is continuing to grow across the UK and is looking for an experienced Field Service Heavy Plant Engineer to join the team, working on high-performance shredders and recycling machinery in demanding environments. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys fault finding, travelling and working on large heavy-duty equipment.

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be travelling across Manchester and the wider UK carrying out servicing, maintenance and breakdown repairs on shredders and recycling equipment. The role will involve:

  • Service, maintenance and repair of industrial shredders and recycling machinery
  • Diagnosing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical faults
  • Attending breakdowns across customer sites
  • Carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Working in demanding recycling and waste environments
  • Completing service reports and paperwork accurately
  • Representing the business professionally on customer sites

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working on heavy plant, shredders, recycling equipment, crushers, screeners or similar machinery
  • Strong hydraulic, electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Experience in field service environments
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel across the UK when required
