NEOS Engineering are currently working with a well-established and reputable organisation who are looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Plant Fitter to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to work with a wide range of heavy construction plant in a stable, days-only role.
The Role
As a Workshop Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of heavy construction plant machinery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard, minimising downtime and supporting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintenance, and repair of heavy construction plant machinery
- Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs
- Complete planned maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
- Work collaboratively within the workshop team to meet deadlines
The Candidate
- Previous experience working on heavy construction plant or similar machinery is essential
- Strong mechanical knowledge, with hydraulic and electrical fault-finding experience advantageous
- Relevant engineering or plant qualifications are beneficial but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of workmanship
