We are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop / Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well-established and busy plant operation. This is a key role supporting the inspection, servicing, and repair of a wide range of construction plant and equipment.
The Role
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a vital part in ensuring plant equipment is maintained to a high standard, supporting operational reliability and customer service. You will work collaboratively within a skilled team while also being capable of working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, and repair a broad range of plant machinery
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance in line with manufacturer schedules
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently in a busy environment
- Maintain high standards of workmanship with a “right first time” approach
- Work flexibly between workshop-based and mobile duties as required
- Contribute positively to team culture and operational performance
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in plant maintenance and repair
- NVQ Level 2 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent experience/qualification)
- Own tools suitable for the role
- Strong understanding of health & safety practices
- Reliable, flexible, and professional approach to work
- Willingness to learn, develop skills, and progress within the business
- Strong team ethic with the ability to work independently when required
