An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Engineering Estimator to join a growing contractor delivering a range of infrastructure and civil engineering projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation and submission of competitive tenders across a variety of civils packages including earthworks, drainage, highways, utilities and reinforced concrete works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, BOQs and tender documentation
  • Producing take-offs and pricing labour, plant, materials and subcontract packages
  • Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Assessing project risks and commercial considerations during tender stage
  • Liaising with operational and commercial teams throughout the bid process
  • Supporting value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
  • Attending pre-tender and client meetings where required
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within civil engineering estimating
  • Strong civils/infrastructure background essential
  • Experience pricing works including highways, drainage, earthworks, utilities or RC works
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
