NEOS Engineering are working with a well-established engineering and maintenance contractor supporting quarry and heavy industrial sites across the South West.
Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out MMA, MIG and Stick welding on quarry and heavy plant equipment
- Structural repairs on crushers, conveyors, hoppers and fixed plant
- Fabrication and repair work on heavy industrial machinery
- Travelling between multiple quarry sites across the South West
- Working independently to diagnose, repair and complete high-quality welds
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a coded welder within a quarry, heavy plant or similar environment
- Strong background working on crushers, screens, conveyors or heavy fabrication
- Relevant welding codes (MMA, MIG and Stick essential, TIG beneficial)
- Strong understanding of health and safety in quarry or industrial environments
- Experience working within a quarry maintenance contractor environment is highly desirable
- Valid welding codes to industry standard, recent or expired considered
- CSCS card or equivalent site qualification
- Quarry passport or similar (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence due to mobile nature of the role
- Confined space or IPAF (advantageous but not essential)
Pay rate: £18 to £21 per hour depending on experience. Overtime available where applicable. Long-term ongoing work across multiple sites. Opportunity to work across varied heavy industrial environments.
