Attachments Fitter – Bridgwater
NEOS Engineering are currently recruiting for an experienced Attachments Fitter / Hydraulic Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Bridgwater.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of excavator attachments , supporting customers across the construction, infrastructure, rail, and energy sectors.
The Role – Attachments Fitter / Plant Engineer
As an Attachments Fitter, you will be responsible for:
- Installing and fitting hydraulic attachments to excavators and construction machinery.
- Attending customer sites to carry out attachment installations, repairs, and breakdown support.
- Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and mechanical faults.
- Adjusting excavator hydraulic flow rates and pressure settings to match attachment requirements (training provided).
- Maintaining and repairing a range of construction equipment and hire fleet machinery.
- Carrying out inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
- Supporting customers with technical advice and equipment solutions.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high engineering standard.
- Maintaining a clean, organised workshop and working environment.
Skills & Experience Required
You will ideally have:
- Experience working with hydraulic excavator attachments.
- Knowledge of construction plant and heavy machinery.
- Understanding of hydraulic systems, valves, cylinders, and components.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
- Experience servicing and maintaining plant equipment.
- Ability to work independently on customer sites.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Desirable Experience
Any experience with the following would be advantageous:
- Excavators and earthmoving equipment.
- Hydraulic breakers.
- Buckets, grabs, rotators, and specialist attachments.
- Quick hitch systems.
- Plant hire equipment.
- Construction machinery diagnostics.
- Forklift or Telehandler operation.
