What is the role?
Responsible for the design of the LAN / WAN / OTN infrastructure to support a variety of office, depot, Substation, Hydro, Windfarm and remote site connectivity types. You will be involved in infrastructure design projects that support Data, Voice, Video, Wifi, Protection and SCADA traffic.

The role will also require design support to the pre-sales teams who will be taking requirements from internal and external customers for growth and new services.
What do I need?
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a technical understanding of data network technologies including IP, ethernet and MPLS. An understanding of Protection and SCADA networks and the application of data networking within this area would also be a benefit. In addition, you will have demonstrable planning and implementation knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure technologies including fibre optic cabling, SDH / PDH multiplexers, microwave radio and ancillary equipment (space and power). A working knowledge of the following technologies: WiFi, IP Telephony / Voice (Avaya, Mitel) would also be beneficial.
We are looking for candidates that can display a high level of confidence, be able to demonstrate initiative and can deliver projects on time and in budget. If you are self-motivated with a good working knowledge of telecommunications technologies and can demonstrate a strong focus on personal and corporate safety, then we want to hear from you.
