Base location: Glasgow with the option of hybrid working 2/3 days per week.

Salary: £ Competitive, dependant on experience + bonus incentive and benefits.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Project Manager to join our existing Projects & Programmes team to help us deliver customer projects within Neos Networks, ensuring we exceed our customer's expectations.

You will be tasked with assisting in the delivery of an array of customer projects within the SSE Delivery team in accordance with company procedures, industry regulations, and best practice methodologies.

You’ll be involved in all stages of managing multiple projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, including scoping, design, through delivery, to handover. This may entail engaging and managing the daily activities of both internal and contractor resources, as well as project documentation, financial forecasting and reporting, process management and escalation management to appropriate standards.

This role will be working alongside an experienced Project Manager who will assist in the development of your skills in managing projects end to end as well as developing your knowledge of Neos Networks products and services.

Excellent drive, communication and interpersonal skills are a must for this role as you’ll be exposed to multiple levels both internal to Neos and externally, to Suppliers, Operations, Design, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to drive delivery and provide regular updates and reviews.

What do I need?

  • A Telecommunications / IT background with experience of delivering telecoms infrastructure projects is a strong advantage.
  • A good working understanding of project management principles and best practices.

About you

You will need to be proactive, self-motivated, well organised and customer focussed. You’ll have a 'can-do' attitude, be able to challenge barriers to delivery and demonstrate ownership of your projects and tasks.

Excellent attention to detail is a must, as is the ability to work effectively on your own initiative, as well as part of a team. First-class communication skills at all levels are important, together with the ability to negotiate and challenge ideas/requirements.
