About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, commercially focused Senior Channel Marketing Manager to lead the sales and marketing agenda across our venues in Bristol, Circuit and Barbara's. This is a key leadership role, responsible for translating brand vision into local marketing execution while driving pre-booked sales.
You will guide, support, and develop a team of Channel Marketing Managers, ensuring marketing strategies are executed to the highest standard and aligned with both brand guidelines and business objectives. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with a passion for guest-first marketing, performance management, and driving profitability through best-in-class local activation.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Execution
- Lead the delivery of the Bristol cluster marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and guest segmentation insights.
- Develop and oversee annual communication and activation plans, ensuring relevance, impact, and consistency across venues.
- Own the pre-booked and corporate sales strategy across the cluster, supporting commercial growth and local partnerships.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Directly manage and coach the venue-based Channel Marketing Managers, fostering high performance and personal development.
- Induct, mentor, and guide new marketing managers to ensure consistent delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Lead weekly marketing updates in Cluster Ops meetings and facilitate quarterly Sales & Marketing review sessions with venue teams.
- Performance Management & Reporting
- Track and report on team KPIs, measuring execution against targets and ensuring accountability.
- Review and manage the cluster marketing budget in collaboration with the Operations Manager, ensuring investment is directed for maximum ROI.
- Provide final sign-off for all venue marketing plans to ensure alignment with overarching cluster objectives and brand compliance.
- Operational Excellence
- Act as super user for all cluster marketing systems, driving digital adoption, consistency, and best practices.
- Ensure ongoing education and support for the team around marketing tools, platforms (e.g., Canva, social media, booking systems), and evolving processes.
- Champion innovation, driving creative thinking and tactical responsiveness to market trends and guest behaviours.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing a team of marketing or sales professionals, ideally within the late-night or hospitality sector.
- Strong understanding of local marketing execution, brand alignment, and sales-driving promotional strategy.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, KPIs, and operational planning.
- Proven success in networking and building commercial relationships.
- Proficiency with marketing tools and platforms including Canva, social media schedulers, and booking systems.
