NEOS Engineering Recruitment are looking for an experienced CNC Plate Machine Operator to join a rapidly expanding engineering manufacturer based near Portrush.

You will operate CNC machinery used to cut, drill and process steel plate for fabricated structures and modular manufacturing projects.

The Role

  • Set and operate CNC plate-processing machinery.
  • Load programs and confirm machine settings.
  • Process steel plate against drawings and production schedules.
  • Check dimensions, hole positions and finished components.
  • Load and unload materials safely.
  • Carry out basic machine checks and routine maintenance.
  • Identify and report machine or quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate production records.
  • The Candidate
  • Previous CNC plate-machine operating experience.
  • Experience with plasma, oxy-fuel, drilling or plate-processing equipment.
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • Confident using measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of steel fabrication and material grades.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety.
  • Experience with Ficep, Peddinghaus or similar equipment is advantageous.
