Due to continued growth and strategic ambition, they are now seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior National Hire Desks Manager to join their Senior Leadership Team.The RoleAs Senior National Hire Desks Manager , you will take ownership of the national hire desk function—leading multiple teams, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring a high level of service delivery to customers across the country. You will be a key strategic player in driving process improvements, fostering a high-performance culture, and influencing wider business decisions.Key responsibilities include:Leading and mentoring a team of hire desk controllers across multiple depotsCollaborating closely with the Senior Leadership Team on company strategy and operationsOverseeing the full hire desk function—managing orders, allocation, dispatch, contracts, and returnsDriving efficiency, accuracy, and excellence in service and operationsEnsuring full compliance with health, safety, and industry standardsManaging customer relationships and resolving queries and complaints effectivelySupporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on key performance metricsCoordinating with fleet, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure availability and performance of plant equipmentThe CandidateYou\’ll be an experienced and commercially minded hire desk professional with strong leadership credentials and in-depth knowledge of the plant hire or construction industry.
