NEOS Engineering is proudly recruiting on behalf of a leading OEM within the heavy plant and construction machinery sector for an exceptional National Key Account Manager. This high-level position will focus on managing and growing strategic national accounts, increasing spend from existing customers, and supporting New Business Sales Managers in securing new major clients.
The successful candidate will bring strong OEM knowledge, particularly across mid and large excavators, and a proven track record of influencing and developing relationships at national level.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow existing national key accounts, ensuring maximum satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Increase sales performance within established account base through service optimisation, product expansion and strategic development.
- Work closely with New Business Sales Managers to support the acquisition of new customers and convert large opportunities.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across product groups, focusing on mid and large excavators.
- Develop account strategies, forecasting, and sales planning to deliver year-on-year revenue growth.
- Build strong relationships with procurement teams, fleet managers, directors and operational leaders.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements to provide strategic feedback.
- Prepare proposals, tenders and presentations for national-level negotiations.
- Ensure consistent brand representation and uphold OEM quality standards.
- Proven experience in key account management within construction machinery or heavy plant equipment.
- Strong understanding of excavators (mid-size and large) and OEM sales environments.
- Ability to build trust, credibility and long-term partnerships with major customers.
- Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation skills and strategic thinking.
- Able to manage national travel and customer site visits where required.
- Self-motivated, proactive and capable of driving performance independently and as part of a team.
- Up to £85,000 base salary.
- Plus Performance Bonus.
