NEOS Engineering are recruiting on behalf of a leading OEM of Construction Plant Machinery for an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover Dumfries and the South of Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly for an OEM, representing a well-respected brand with a strong product range, excellent market presence, and clear long-term career development.
The Role
- As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving new machine sales, developing existing customer relationships, and growing market share across your designated territory.
- You’ll work closely with dealers, end users, and internal teams to deliver strong commercial results while maintaining the OEM’s brand and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell new construction plant machinery across the South of Scotland
- Develop and manage relationships with key customers and dealer partners
- Identify and convert new business opportunities within the territory
- Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry through to order and delivery
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms and close deals
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports and market intelligence
- Represent the brand at customer meetings, demonstrations and industry events
- Work closely with internal departments including product support and marketing

The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager / Territory Sales Manager within construction plant machinery
- OEM or dealer background highly desirable
- Strong understanding of plant machinery and end-user applications
- Commercially focused with a consultative sales approach
- Confident negotiator with a track record of achieving sales targets
- Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working autonomously
- Full UK Driving Licence
