The role involves processing steel sections accurately and efficiently, ensuring materials are supplied to fabrication teams in line with production requirements.
The Role Operate CNC saw and drilling equipment.
Process beams, channels, box section and steel profiles.
Load programs and adjust machine settings.
Work from drawings, cutting lists and production schedules.
Inspect completed parts using measuring equipment.
Safely load and unload steel sections.
Carry out routine machine checks.
Report production or quality issues promptly.
The Candidate Experience operating CNC saws, drills or structural steel machinery.
Able to understand engineering drawings and cutting lists.
Experience working with structural steel.
Confident using tape measures, verniers and inspection tools.
Overhead crane experience is beneficial.
Reliable with excellent attention to detail.
