The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the shipment, transfer, and delivery of goods across multiple exhibitions. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods while adhering to international shipping regulations. This position works closely with suppliers, retail managers, and couriers to support seamless operations across EMEA, Americas, and Asia. This role is based in London and reports to the (Retail Shipping & Logistics Manager)
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation and Tracking:
Create accurate commercial invoices and packing lists for shipments.
Maintain and update the Shipping Tracker, monitoring goods readiness and delivery timelines.
Supplier and Stakeholder Coordination:
Liaise with suppliers to chase goods ready dates.
Collaborate with retail managers to confirm goods delivery and complete transfers within exhibitions.
Shipping and Courier Management:
Arrange courier shipments, including DHL Express, with a focus on sample shipments.
Approve courier invoices and ensure cost efficiency.
Compliance and Logistics Expertise:
Working closely with the production team, manage import, export, and cross-shipping procedures, ensuring compliance with EMEA, Americas, and Asia regulations.
Address and resolve any logistics issues to avoid delays or additional costs.
Process Improvement:
Working closely with the Shipping & Logistics Manager, proactively identify inefficiencies in the shipping process and recommend enhancements to optimize workflows.
Recommended Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Recognised qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Professional Experience:
2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain coordination, or international shipping.
Demonstrated understanding of import, export, and cross-shipping procedures across EMEA, Americas, and Asia.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in shipping software and tracking tools.
Familiarity with courier systems (e.g., DHL Express) and international documentation standards.
Key Competencies:
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to prioritize and adapt to a dynamic environment with multiple exhibitions.
Additional Requirements:
