Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Retail Merchandiser to lead global merchandising strategies, optimize product ranges, and drive category growth. In this role, you will conduct sales analyses, collaborate with product teams on forecasting and assortments, manage inventory and stock flows, and refine processes to support business growth. With a minimum of four years’ experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in merchandising systems and Excel, you will balance commercial insight with operational efficiency. A keen eye for trends, excellent organizational skills, and experience with brands and IP will ensure success in this fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is based in London and reports to the VP of Retail.

Role Responsibilities

Merchandising Strategy & Planning

  • Conduct comprehensive sales analysis to optimise product ranges, stock allocation and category performance.
  • Collaborate with the product team to forecast demand, plan product assortments and ensure alignment with brand/project identity.
  • Manage the critical path for production & shipping.
  • Maintain all project workbooks (WSSI) and OTB.

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Oversee stock levels to ensure optimal availability while minimising overstock, markdowns, and wastage.
  • Manage allocations and replenishment across all projects globally.
  • Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely and efficient stock flow across all channels, including resolving any delivery discrepancies.
  • Implement systems and processes for inventory management to streamline operations and improve accuracy.
  • Evaluate and refine inventory planning methods to support business growth and respond to changing global market dynamics.

Commercial Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct regular performance reviews across all channels, providing actionable insights to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Track KPIs such as sell-through rates, margin, and stock turns to guide decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to drive growth in underperforming categories.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as the key link between the product teams and Operations to ensure cohesive product and stock strategies.
  • Present range plans and performance updates to key stakeholders.
  • Support promotional campaigns with appropriate stock planning and allocation.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Proven minimum 4 years’ experience as a Merchandiser.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in merchandising systems and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP software is a plus.
  • Commercially driven with a keen eye for trends and customer preferences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • Experience working with Brands and IP preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stock allocation, inventory planning, and critical path timelines effectively.
  • Experience in global supply chain processes and logistics coordination is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of driving category growth and optimizing inventory strategies in alignment with business goals.
