We are seeking a highly commercial, detail-driven Planning Manager (Merch) to lead the strategic planning and execution of a blended category. This is a pivotal role responsible for driving profitability, curating a world-class product assortment, and delivering for this highly regarded British luxury brand, with a focus on menswear.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute seasonal merchandising strategies that align with brand positioning and financial targets.
- Own the menswear assortment planning process, ensuring a balanced and commercially viable product mix.
- Analyse sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to inform buying and merchandising decisions for retail and ecommerce channels.
- Partner closely with Buying, Design, Retail, and E-commerce teams to ensure cohesive product storytelling and delivery.
- Manage stock levels, forecasting, and inventory flow to optimise sell-through and minimise markdowns.
- Lead pricing architecture and promotional strategies while maintaining brand integrity.
- Monitor competitor activity and emerging luxury trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Build and mentor a high-performing merchandising team.
- Proven experience in merchandising within luxury or premium/menswear is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sales and margin growth for retail and ecommerce.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional understanding of luxury customer behaviour and market dynamics.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
