Exciting times at Neon Numbers! We’re growing quickly and we may have multiple opportunities opening up for the right people to join our team. We’re looking for experienced Bookkeepers / Accountants with UK practice experience who love working with clients, understand bookkeeping and accounts, and are confident using cloud software.

We want dynamic, personable people who can build great relationships, communicate clearly, solve problems, and bring a bit of energy to the room. This is not just a “sit quietly in the corner and process invoices” type of role. We want people who enjoy working with clients and being part of a team.

What we’re looking for:

  • UK accountancy practice experience
  • Strong bookkeeping and accounts knowledge
  • Confident with Xero
  • Experience with FreeAgent would be a bonus
  • Familiarity with Engager and TaxCalc would be handy
  • AAT qualified preferred, but not essential for the right experienced person
  • Great with clients and people
  • Organised, positive and willing to get stuck in

We’re open to full-time, part-time or flexible arrangements for the right people, and we’re happy to discuss different salary packages depending on experience and fit. The role would be predominantly office-based, either from our Portsmouth or Gosport office, with the option for a day or two of hybrid working where suitable. Having a car would be useful, as there may be some work across both offices, but it’s not essential.
