Neon Contracts are currently recruiting for one of Birmingham's foremost paint and powder coating businesses. The job involves the following duties:
- Applying Powder Coating: Using a spray gun in a spray booth, applying powder coating to various parts and components.
- Targeted Work: Focusing on quality and detail to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Identifying Defects: Detecting paint defects and performing nibbing (a form of surface preparation) before polishing.
- Polishing: Polishing different components to meet cosmetic requirements, following process cards and instructions.
- Maintaining a Clean Workspace: Keeping the work area clean, tidy, and uncluttered to minimize damage to coated components.
- Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine checks on equipment and maintaining it in good working order.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, and properly handling hazardous materials.
- General Operative Duties: Assisting with other duties as needed by the business.
- Following Process Cards: Adhering to detailed process cards and work instructions for specific projects.
Hours of work: 7am-4pm Mon-Thurs / 7am-12pm Fri. This role is a long-term position. Attention to detail and a high level of quality is essential as is a willingness to learn.
