This job is being advertised by Neon Contracts who are operating as an Employment Business. A Quality Inspector is a professional who is responsible for ensuring that manufactured products meet all customer drawing requirements. They use tools and company guidelines to make sure products have been perfectly crafted and are ready for the consumer. A busy environment where we ship between 400 - 600 gauges per month with the expectation it will ramp up significantly in 2023. Confidence, speed, and accuracy in what you’re doing must be combined to achieve company quality and delivery objectives. Key Functions:
- Help support calibration of lab equipment to sustain ISO 9001 and UKAS 17025 accreditation.
- Work with the Production Manager and Quality Lead to schedule work through the department, reducing bottlenecks wherever necessary.
- Support 5 why investigations with support of the Quality Coordinator.
- Perform regular quality checks of components using electronic measuring equipment (Klingenbergs and CMMs), length measuring equipment plus various slips and gauge blocks.
- Capture accurate times associated with the quality processes by logging on and off individual work pieces.
- Contribute and support the Quality Lead in making the inspection lab more efficient and streamline processes wherever possible.
- Reading technical drawings and quality procedures to comprehend the quality expectations for the product.
- Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and report any that doesn’t meet requirements.
- Raise any areas of concern regarding quality performance with the Quality Lead and management team.
- Capture measurements accurately and record results.

Applicants who have a background in Metrology, Automotive or Aerospace mass inspection industries are encouraged to apply. Experienced in the use of gear analyzing equipment would also be considered.
