Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle, including preparing offer letters, contracts of employment, and new starter documentation.
- Carry out pre-employment checks, including right-to-work verification and associated compliance requirements.
- Support recruitment activities and liaise with external recruitment agencies where required.
- Assist with onboarding processes to ensure a positive new starter experience.
- Process employee leavers and support exit interview administration.
- Maintain absence records and assist with return-to-work processes.
- Create, update, and maintain accurate employee records within the HR system.
- Coordinate performance review and appraisal processes.
- Provide administrative support during employee relations meetings, including note-taking when required.
- Ensure HR processes and documentation remain compliant with current legislation, company policies, and audit requirements.
- Support wider HR initiatives and projects as directed by the senior HR team.
- Undertake general HR administration duties as required.
This role offers variety and flexibility, and responsibilities may evolve in line with business needs and departmental objectives.
About You
- Previous experience in an HR Administration, HR Assistant, or similar support role.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A sound understanding of GDPR principles and the importance of handling confidential information appropriately.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
- A good understanding of UK employment legislation (desirable).
- The ability to prioritise workload, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
