Air Conditioning Installation Engineer

Full-time, in person, with travel to client sites across the UK.

As we continue to expand nationwide, we are looking for a skilled Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality installation projects across the UK.

This role is primarily focused on air conditioning installation rather than servicing and maintenance.

As an Air Conditioning Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing a variety of air conditioning systems across commercial and industrial properties.

Air Conditioning Installations include:

  • Installing split, multi-split, VRF and VRV air conditioning systems.
  • Installing wall-mounted, ceiling cassette, ducted and floor-mounted units.
  • Installing heat pump systems and associated equipment.
  • Positioning and mounting indoor and outdoor units.
  • Installing refrigerant pipework, condensate drainage and interconnecting cables.
  • Carrying out pressure testing, vacuuming and system commissioning.
  • Recovering and handling refrigerant safely and in accordance with F-Gas regulations.
  • Ensuring installations are completed safely, professionally and to a high standard.
  • Completing relevant installation and commissioning documentation.

Working closely with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors and other engineers. Identifying and reporting any installation issues or variations. Keeping work areas clean, organised and professional.

Travel Requirements: This role involves travelling to client sites across the UK. A company van is provided for all work-related travel. Some overnight stays may occasionally be required depending on the location and duration of the project.

Requirements:

  • F-Gas Category 1 certification.
  • Previous experience installing air conditioning systems.
  • Experience with refrigerant pipework, pressure testing, vacuuming and commissioning.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an installation team.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A minimum of three years air conditioning installation experience is preferred.
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
  • IPAF certification.
  • CSCS or SkillCard.
  • Manufacturer training for Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Toshiba, Panasonic or similar systems.
  • Experience installing ventilation or heat recovery systems.
  • Electrical qualifications or experience with air conditioning control wiring.
