The Vice President, Commercial – EMEA is responsible for leading the commercial growth strategy across Europe, Middle East and Africa for Neogen’s Food Safety business. This executive leader will drive profitable revenue growth, strengthen strategic customer relationships, expand market penetration, and accelerate commercial execution strategies to strengthen Neogen’s competitive position globally.
The Vice President will partner closely with Global Commercial Excellence, Product Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Finance, and R&D to ensure the region has the right commercial infrastructure, customer engagement strategy, and market activation plans to deliver sustainable growth.
As a member of the global commercial leadership team, the Vice President will help shape the go-to-market strategy, commercial priorities, and customer engagement models that support Neogen’s long-term growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Growth & Strategy: Lead the commercial strategy for the EMEA region, driving profitable organic growth across key customer segments and markets. Develop and execute annual and multi-year growth plans aligned to global commercial priorities. Identify whitespace opportunities, emerging markets, channel expansion opportunities, and strategic growth initiatives. Drive commercial rigor and accountability through forecasting, pipeline management, business reviews, and performance analytics. Champion customer-centric growth strategies focused on retention, expansion, and market share gains.
- Strategic Customer Leadership: Build and strengthen executive-level relationships with key multinational customers, distributors, and strategic partners. Partner with the Global Strategic Accounts organization to drive coordinated enterprise customer strategies across regions. Act as the senior commercial escalation and relationship leader for critical accounts and strategic opportunities. Ensure strong voice-of-customer feedback loops into product management, innovation, quality, and operational teams.
- Commercial Excellence & Market Execution: Elevate commercial effectiveness across the region through standardized sales processes, CRM utilization, pricing discipline, and sales capability development. Drive distributor performance management and channel optimization strategies. Partner with marketing and product management to improve market segmentation, portfolio positioning, and go-to-market execution. Support development of scalable commercial infrastructure, tools, analytics, and operating rhythms.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, and R&D to ensure alignment between customer commitments and business capabilities. Serve as the commercial representative for regional market requirements, customer trends, and competitive intelligence.
- Acquisition & Market Expansion: Support commercial due diligence and integration activities related to acquisitions and strategic partnerships. Identify opportunities for inorganic growth, distributor consolidation, and expansion into adjacent markets or channels. Lead commercial integration activities to ensure rapid revenue synergy realization.
- Leadership & Culture: Build and lead a high-performing, customer-focused commercial organization. Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, collaboration, and execution excellence. In partnership with HR, develop leadership capability across regional commercial teams. Operate effectively across diverse cultures, markets, and regulatory environments.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience
- Significant international business leadership experience across EMEA
- Experience leading complex commercial organizations
- Strong background in strategic sales leadership and commercial strategy
- Experience in food safety, diagnostics, life sciences, biotechnology, or related industries strongly preferred
- Willingness to travel internationally up to approximately 40%
