Telecoms billing experience? We want to hear from you. We're working with an established technology and communications business looking for an experienced Billing Analyst to join them on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The key thing they're looking for is previous experience working with billing within the telecoms industry. You might have worked for a telecoms provider, MSP, ISP, UC/CC provider, mobile business, carrier or another communications company. The specific billing platform you've used isn't particularly important - it's your understanding of telecoms billing, usage, rentals, supplier charges and reconciliation that matters.
What you'll be doing:
- Producing accurate monthly, quarterly and annual customer invoices
- Billing recurring rentals and usage charges
- Reconciling supplier/carrier invoices against customer contracts and agreed rates
- Investigating billing discrepancies and resolving customer queries
- Reviewing month-on-month billing and revenue movements
- Working with Finance and Contracts teams to ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition
- Analysing billing data and producing customer and management information
- Working with large data sets using Excel
What we're looking for:
- The most important thing is hands-on telecoms billing experience.
- You’ll also need good Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
- Experience reconciling invoices, charges, usage or supplier costs.
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical approach.
- Confidence dealing with both customers and internal stakeholders.
- The ability to work accurately to monthly billing deadlines.
- Experience with platforms such as Elevate or Affinity would be useful, but isn't essential.
- Likewise, exposure to technologies or suppliers such as Avaya or Genesys is a bonus rather than a requirement.
