About Neo4j: Neo4j is the graph intelligence platform that transforms data into knowledge to power the next generation of intelligent applications and AI systems. It includes enterprise-ready knowledge graphs for accurate, explainable, and governed AI; the most comprehensive, trusted, and easy-to-deploy graph capabilities across any environment and data source; and an unmatched ecosystem trusted by 84 of the Fortune 100 and supported by the world’s largest graph community.
Our Vision: At Neo4j, we have always strived to help the world make sense of data. As business, society and knowledge become increasingly connected, our technology promotes innovation by helping organizations to find and understand data relationships. We created, drive and lead the graph database category, and we’re disrupting how organizations leverage their data to innovate and stay competitive.
The Role: Neo4j is the leader in graph analytics, and our cloud platform is at the heart of powering data-driven innovation for thousands of users worldwide. We are on the lookout for versatile Full-Stack Engineers to help us design and build exceptional features that lower the bar for users to perform graph analytics. In this role, you will own the user-facing surface of those products. You'll help new users get to value quickly by reducing friction in their first workflows, and make our internal tooling effective enough that the rest of the team can support and operate the service confidently. You will work closely with our internal design system at neo4j.design, and collaborate across product, design, backend, and SRE to ship cohesive, end-to-end experiences. This is a mid-to-senior role at the intersection of product UX, graph analytics, and cloud data platforms.
What We Value: We’re looking for engineers with experience in both frontend and backend development. You should have experience designing APIs, implementing data persistence, and integrating with third-party services. Familiarity with automated testing approaches, from unit testing to full-stack integration tests, is important. A willingness to learn, grow, and tackle new challenges as part of a distributed and collaborative team is essential.
What You'll Do: As a Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering impactful features that enhance how users interact with Neo4j Aura graph analytics. You’ll work on everything from user-friendly interfaces to robust back-end systems, ensuring our solutions are scalable, reliable, and adaptable to diverse user needs.
- Build and evolve the Aura Graph Analytics user experience inside the Neo4j Aura console.
- Develop and maintain the in-app GUI for the Neo4j Graph Analytics App for Snowflake, an application that guides users through a multi-step workflow: selecting Snowflake data, projecting them as graphs, configuring and running algorithms, and writing back.
- Design the graph-projection and algorithm-configuration UX for users who are not graph experts: clear workflow steps, sensible defaults, validation, and interactive previews of sampled graphs.
- Improve the internal support tooling used to inspect the state of Aura Graph Analytics deployments and diagnose customer issues.
- Use our shared design system (neo4j.design) so our products feel like one family.
- Partner closely with product, design, backend, and SRE to ship cohesive end-to-end experiences across team boundaries.
What You'll Bring: Experience building and shipping production-quality software. Strong TypeScript / JavaScript skills and significant frontend experience in production codebases. Solid experience with React and modern frontend tooling (such as Tailwind). Comfort collaborating with designers in Figma (or similar tools) and translating designs into accessible, responsive UI. A user-centric mindset and a genuine interest in product UX, not just shipping components. Experience creating API services in Golang, Java or Python.
Bonus Points: Experience working with Spotify’s Backstage framework. Familiarity with graph data, graph algorithms, or data-science workflows. Experience with Python-based UI tooling such as Streamlit and AnyWidget. Experience with Snowflake, Snowpark, and building UIs that run inside a Snowflake Native App.
Why Join Neo4j? Neo4j is, without question, the most popular graph intelligence platform in the world. We have customers in every industry globally, and our products are a proven product/market fit. Joining our team is an opportunity to shape the future of data and analytics.
Neo4j is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Please read the privacy notice regarding Neo4j's recruitment process to understand how we will handle the personal data that you provide.
