About the Role

Join our brand new GenAI team at Neo4j, where we're pioneering groundbreaking work in the field of AI and machine learning. As an AI Engineer at Neo4j, you will be at the forefront of integrating AI into a variety of applications and services. Your role will focus on building and maintaining integrations with external libraries and frameworks, designing and implementing AI-driven software systems, and actively contributing to the strategic direction of our GenAI offerings.

You Will

  • Build and maintain integrations with external libraries and frameworks
  • Analyze, design, and implement software systems that incorporate AI components, shaping the future of AI-driven solutions
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in AI and machine learning, keeping our team on the cutting edge
  • Influence what integrations, products, and services are being built going forward, making a direct impact on our GenAI direction
  • Build, operate, and maintain internal GenAI services to back features in our end-user tools

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant technical work experience
  • A deep understanding of the best practices of software design methods and the software development process, including CI/CD
  • Experience with at least one of the mainstream AI developer frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, etc.)
  • A basic understanding of how Large Language Models work, their strengths, limitations, and potential applications
  • Experience building full-stack applications and a strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript
  • Proven experience integrating AI features into real-world applications
  • A Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferred (e.g., Computer Science, AI, Data Science)
