Job Overview
We are looking for experienced Software Engineers with Kubernetes experience to join our Networking team to develop the system further to handle future load and functionality. You will collaborate with your team to design, develop, and maintain the cloud networking foundation that powers our cutting‑edge solutions. Partner closely with teams across Neo4j’s cloud organization, Aura, to shape and deliver an ambitious roadmap for cloud networking as we scale globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain the cloud networking foundation that powers Neo4j Aura.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and push an ambitious roadmap for cloud networking.
- Tackle complex and exciting engineering challenges in a rapidly growing area of focus, ensuring the performance, reliability and scalability of our platform.
- Build and deploy continuous delivery pipelines for Kubernetes workloads.
- Architect for high availability and multi‑tenancy in SaaS 24/7/365 environments.
- Develop Kubernetes operators and internal networking components (Cilium, eBPF, Traefik, Calico, Linkerd, Istio, Consul).
Required Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of Google Cloud, AWS and/or Azure.
- Agile software development experience within a team environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Go.
- Experience building and operating software on Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of cloud networking fundamentals, DNS, TLS, mTLS, SNI and L4/L7 proxies (Envoy).
- Experience with GCP Private Service Connect, AWS/Azure PrivateLink.
- Experience writing Kubernetes operators.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes network security and architecture for high availability.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes networking solutions such as Cilium, eBPF, Traefik, Calico, Linkerd, Istio, Consul.
