The Opportunity
Our client is a respected, award-winning consultancy known for delivering high-quality engineering and assurance expertise across major rail and infrastructure projects. They are expanding their Technical Assurance capability and are seeking a Technical Assurance Engineer who can bring structure, clarity, and technical confidence to complex, multi-disciplinary programmes. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that designs, systems, and assets meet the required standards, regulations, and safety expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and coordinating technical assurance activities across rail and infrastructure projects.
- Developing and maintaining assurance strategies, plans, and compliance documentation.
- Ensuring engineering requirements are met, evidenced, and traceable from design through to commissioning.
- Supporting audits, technical reviews, and safety assessments.
- Working collaboratively with design, engineering, construction, and testing teams.
- Providing guidance on standards, governance, and assurance frameworks (e.g., NR/L2, CSM-RA, ROGS).
- Managing assurance deliverables and ensuring alignment with client and regulatory expectations.
Signalling Experience - A Valuable Bonus
The role covers all aspects of rail assurance, but candidates with signalling experience (whether in design, testing, systems, or integration) will bring additional insight that is highly advantageous. Not essential, but a strong differentiator.
