The Opportunity

Our client is a respected, award-winning consultancy known for delivering high-quality engineering, systems, and assurance expertise across major rail and infrastructure projects. As they continue to expand their Systems Engineering capability, they are seeking a Systems Engineer who can bring structure, clarity, and technical confidence to multi-disciplinary programmes. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring that systems are defined, integrated, verified, and validated effectively throughout the project lifecycle supporting safe, reliable, and compliant outcomes for clients and end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development and delivery of systems engineering strategies, plans, and processes.
  • Defining, managing, and tracing requirements across complex rail and infrastructure projects.
  • Facilitating system integration activities and ensuring interfaces are clearly understood and controlled.
  • Supporting verification and validation activities, ensuring evidence is robust, traceable, and aligned with project objectives.
  • Contributing to hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety-related systems activities.
  • Working collaboratively with design, engineering, assurance, and delivery teams.
  • Applying recognised systems engineering frameworks (e.g., ISO 15288, EN50126/8/9) to ensure consistent and high-quality outcomes.
  • Managing systems engineering deliverables and supporting client governance and technical reviews.

Signalling or Systems Integration Experience - A Valuable Bonus
