Sell something businesses can’t afford to ignore. Every commercial property with dry risers, wet risers or sprinkler systems is legally required to have them inspected and maintained. If they don’t — they’re non‑compliant. It’s that simple. That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to win new business, re‑engage lapsed clients, and secure long‑term service contracts across the UK. You’ll be helping organisations stay compliant, safe, and operational — while building a strong pipeline of recurring revenue.
The Role
- This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be out meeting clients, walking sites, and building relationships that turn into long‑term contracts.
- Generating new business through outbound activity, networking and site visits
- Re‑engaging lapsed customers and bringing them back on contract
- Conducting site surveys to understand systems and requirements
- Selling PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) contracts for:
- Dry risers
- Wet risers
- Sprinkler systems
Why this role works
You’re not trying to convince someone they might need your service. You’re speaking to businesses who already have a legal obligation — your job is to position us as the best partner to deliver it.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven B2B sales background (ideally contract/services‑based)
- Comfortable generating your own pipeline and working to targets
- Resilient – you don’t fall apart after a few knockbacks
- Strong work ethic – you’ll get out what you put in
- Confident dealing with clients face‑to‑face on‑site
- Able to manage your own time and territory
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Fire industry knowledge is helpful, but not essential – we’ll teach you that.
What You’ll Get
- £40,000 basic salary
- Commission structure with genuine earning potential
- Car or Car allowance
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Hybrid working (office + field)
- Life assurance (3 x salary)
- Pension (Salary sacrifice)
- Full product training and ongoing support
- Access to CRM systems and marketing tools to support your activity
- A role with real progression in a growing group of businesses
