It is an exciting period of growth and expansion at Neo People, and we are currently looking to recruit commercially minded Administrators to join our fast‑paced Payroll team. No previous payroll experience is required (but is desirable) as training will be offered to the successful applicants. If you have a can‑do attitude and are willing to take on the challenge of working within a fast paced environment, we would like to hear from you.

Work closely with the Pensions and Payroll teams to input customer data into the iTrent system and run reports. Ensure all payroll data matches, is forwarded and processed. Ensure all queries are actioned and resolved. Support clients with data reporting weekly and upon request. Answer incoming calls and deal with them appropriately. Support administration practices in accordance with changing business/team needs and legal requirements. Provide breakdowns to our payroll for processing. Manage client queries and requests, liaising with them based on dynamic changes for payroll. Adapt to a fast‑paced environment where our internal and external clients are at the core of everything we do.

Location: This role is based at our modern offices in Bury, Greater Manchester.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for:

  • A strong administrator with advanced Excel skills (VLookups, pivot tables, etc.), problem‑solving and data‑analysis abilities for manipulating and uploading data, and data‑management skills.
  • Basic understanding of payroll is desirable.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a highly motivated team and to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Willingly challenge discrepancies when they occur.
  • A hands‑on attitude and willingness to learn.

The salary range for this role is £26,000 – £28,000 per annum depending on experience.

28 days holiday plus an extra day for each year you stay with us, up to a maximum of 33 days PLUS bank holidays. Health Cash Plan, once you've passed probation, which includes access to a private GP. From day 1, free life insurance covering up to four times your salary. After 3 months we’ll both add money into your pension pot. Volunteer days – 3 paid volunteer days a year, with 2 dedicated to Education.
