The Corporate Finance Senior Manager is responsible for supporting the Head of Corporate Finance in developing and implementing strategic Corporate Finance plans. The role covers all Corporate Finance related functions including but not limited to debt financing, hedging, decommissioning security, M&A financing and working capital management. The role will oversee all modelling and lead on analysis and recommendations to senior management on funding strategies for M&A and normal course. The role reports to the Head of Corporate Finance and will supervise several direct reports at Senior Analyst level within the team. The role will also work closely with the Treasury Manager and Treasury Analysts. Cross collaboration within the wider Treasury team (Treasury & Corporate Finance) will be frequent and exposure to all functions will be key.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Corporate Finance in the development and implementation of strategic Corporate Finance plans to ensure optimal capital structure to deliver on NEO NEXT objectives.
- Support management of group banking relationships and all financing relationships of NEO NEXT.
- Day to day management of RBL redeterminations including redetermination dataflow, documentation, analysis and technical bank support.
- Support in exploring alternative capital structure options.
- Develop, document, and refine Corporate Finance processes in collaboration with key stakeholders, implementing effective change management strategies where necessary.
- Collaborate with the NEO NEXT Treasury, Tax and M&A teams to optimise funding structures that support the organic and inorganic investment program in an efficient manner.
- Lead on closing mechanics regarding closing of M&A transactions and supporting documentation.
- Lead of ad-hoc tasks for shareholders, executive leadership team and lending banks.
Professional Skills and Experience
- Relevant prior experience of financing activities in the Oil & Gas industry (E&P preferred) is essential.
- Experience in Reserve Based Loans across documentation and modelling essential (as a borrower or a lender).
- Previous supervisory experience is key.
- Strong and detailed modelling experience essential.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Creative Thinker.
- Organised and methodical approach to work with an eye for detail.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Minimum 5-7 years of Corporate Finance experience preferred.
