NEO International Partners are partnered with a leading infrastructure contractor to support the growth of their Energy division across England and Wales, following a series of major framework awards with National Grid. With a strong pipeline of secured work across the North West, they are now looking to appoint experienced Senior Project Managers to play a key role in delivering complex transmission and distribution projects.
The Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of project delivery across a portfolio of substation-led schemes, often incorporating elements of overhead lines and underground cable works. Projects are currently progressing through early contractor involvement (ECI) into full delivery, offering the opportunity to influence schemes from early stages through to completion. You will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams, ensuring safe and efficient delivery, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including National Grid.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of energy infrastructure projects
- Manage programme, commercial performance, and risk across NEC-based contracts
- Drive high standards in health, safety, and quality
- Lead, develop, and support project teams on-site and within the wider business
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Ensure clear communication and alignment across all levels of delivery
What We're Looking For
We are open to candidates from both energy and adjacent infrastructure sectors. While experience in transmission and distribution is advantageous, it is not essential. The focus is on strong leadership capability and the ability to deliver complex projects. You will typically bring:
- Proven experience in a Senior Project Manager or similar leadership role
- Strong understanding of project delivery, including commercial and contractual awareness (NEC experience preferred)
- Experience managing large teams and driving performance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach
Sector Backgrounds
Substations & Cables: Candidates from civil engineering backgrounds (e.g. highways, rail, nuclear) with strong delivery experience are encouraged to apply. Overhead Lines: More specialist, with preference for experience across contractor and/or client-side environments.
Location
This role is focused on projects across the North West of England. There is a strong preference for candidates who are locally based or able to commute, reflecting a commitment to work-life balance and long-term team stability.
What's on Offer
Competitive base salary, bonus up to 30%, company car scheme, comprehensive benefits package. Beyond the package, this is an opportunity to join a business that is growing rapidly within the T&D sector, securing major long-term frameworks, and focused on leadership, culture, and employee development.
