The Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering large-scale energy infrastructure projects across Scotland, covering substations, overhead lines (OHL), and underground cable works. Projects range from major substation upgrades and new builds through to large-scale transmission schemes, including 400kV overhead line developments. Locations & Working Patterns
Projects are based across:
- Central Belt – more traditional working patterns
- Highlands & Islands – rotational working (typically 10 days on / 4 days off)
There is flexibility around location, with openness to candidates based across the UK or Ireland, supported by travel and hybrid working arrangements where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities

- Manage programme, cost, and risk across NEC-based contracts
- Drive high standards in health, safety, and quality
- Lead and develop project teams
- Act as the primary interface with clients and stakeholders
