NEO International Partners is partnering with a leading UK infrastructure contractor to appoint a Contracts Manager / Project Director as part of the continued expansion of its national Energy division. This is a rare opportunity to join a business at a formative stage of its growth within the UK power sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and expanding the company's presence across transmission and distribution infrastructure, with a particular focus on distribution-led substation civils and wider energy frameworks.

Unlike many roles in the market, this position is not tied to a single project. Instead, it offers the opportunity to help shape a growing business unit, influence strategy, support work winning activities, and build long-term client relationships across the UK energy sector.

The Opportunity

The business has established a strong position within UK infrastructure delivery and is experiencing significant growth across its energy operations. Recent success includes:

  • Existing framework agreements with major UK energy clients
  • Growth within transmission and distribution civils frameworks
  • Expansion across distribution network opportunities
  • Strategic partnerships providing high-voltage electrical, cable installation, and specialist delivery capabilities

As a result, the business is investing in its leadership team and seeking an experienced individual who can support both pre-construction activities and future project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support pre-construction activities across transmission and distribution opportunities
  • Engage directly with DNOs, transmission operators, and energy sector clients
  • Support tendering, bid strategy, and work-winning initiatives
  • Collaborate with estimators, planners, and operational teams on substation and civils projects
  • Assist with project sequencing, mobilisation, and delivery planning
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships across the UK energy market
  • Support the growth of a dedicated energy delivery function
  • Contribute to strategic business planning and regional expansion

About You

We are keen to speak with individuals who possess:

  • Strong experience within transmission and distribution infrastructure
  • A background in distribution-led civils projects and substation construction
  • Experience in pre-construction, tendering, and business development activities
  • Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing skills
  • Strong commercial and operational understanding
  • A desire to help build and grow a business rather than solely manage established projects

Applications are welcomed from experienced:

  • Contracts Managers
  • Senior Contracts Managers
  • Project Directors
  • Operations Managers
  • Framework Managers
  • Regional Delivery Managers

with a proven track record within the UK energy sector.

Why Apply?

This opportunity offers:

  • A genuine platform to influence and shape a growing energy division
  • Significant exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making
  • Long-term career progression opportunities
  • The chance to play a key role in securing and delivering future energy infrastructure projects
  • Flexible working arrangements and national opportunities

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious leader looking to combine operational expertise, client engagement, and strategic growth within one of the UK's fastest-growing infrastructure sectors.
