We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of individuals through personalised care, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity are maintained at all times. Duties:
- Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
- Administer medication in accordance with prescribed guidelines and document all care provided.
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding to promote nutritional health.
- Assist with behavioural management strategies for clients with Dementia or Alzheimer's care needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, fostering a positive environment.
- Support with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living space.
- Accompany individuals to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safety during transportation.
- Recognise and respond promptly to medical emergencies and carry out CPR when needed.
- Assist with specialised care needs such as hospice or palliative care for terminally ill individuals.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is desirable.
- Knowledge of caring for individuals with Dementia, Alzheimer's, or behavioural challenges is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid, however full training will be provided.
- Valid driving licence, must own their own vehicle and provide business insurance.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate support and build trust.
- Ability to assist with mobility support safely.
- Basic meal preparation skills and understanding of medication administration protocols.
- A caring attitude coupled with organisational skills to manage multiple clients effectively.
