The Role: Join our team at Nelsons, where you'll contribute to the production of natural medicines, including homeopathic, herbal, and flower remedy products. Your role will involve ensuring the safe, accurate, and compliant receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of components, materials, and finished goods within the warehouse, in accordance with company procedures, GMP, GDP requirements and H&S standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Complete all required training and keep it up to date, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards and using assigned initials.
- Maintain documentation within the Quality Management System (QMS) and adhere to Data Integrity protocols.
- Understanding and adhering to cGMP environment requirements.
- Receive goods in promptly, book in through the WMS (Warehouse Management System), barcode label materials, deal with any damages and report damages and discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager, Planning and Quality Control.
- Effectively and promptly locate materials into stock locations ensuring correct quantities are showing on SAP.
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Accurately pick process orders for production ensuring that materials are ready ahead of schedule.
- Ensure that all returned materials from production are quickly and accurately processed and returned to the appropriate warehouse location.
- Carry out stock checks as required by the Company's perpetual cycle count system.
- Work to high standards of warehouse hygiene and tidiness.
- Work in a safe manner with full regard for the Company's Health and Safety regulations to work to standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) at all times.
- Actively participate in team meetings to help improve the operation.
- Ensure any concerns with racking, plant or equipment and accidents/near misses are promptly reported to Management.
- Reporting damages and discrepancies.
- Load vehicles with Finished Goods going to the appropriate third-party warehouse.
- Carry out any other reasonable management requested task.
- Ensure effective organisation and control of stock within the warehouse, including production consumables, to maintain accuracy, segregation and accessibility.
- Drive continuous improvement of the warehouse organisation, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency, space utilisation and workflow.
We’d love you to have:
- English and Maths to GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
- Knowledge of stock control using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Knowledge of modern inventory management techniques, e.g. Kanban principles and JIT (Just In Time).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with people at all levels.
- The ability to work efficiently and effectively to meet and maintain strict deadlines.
- Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Ability to prioritise and deal effectively with a varied workload.
- Minimum 2 years warehouse experience.
- Current reach truck license holder.
- Current Counterbalance Forklift License holder.
- SAP knowledge.
