Nelsons is looking to recruit a Building Maintenance Technician to join their in-house dedicated Facilities Team based in Nottingham. Although the successful candidate will be based in Nottingham, they will be expected to go to the Derby office once a week and Leicester once a month. They will play a key role in ensuring that all three offices are maintained to an exceptionally high standard and provide a safe working environment.
We are looking for someone with at least 5 years’ experience of carrying out general maintenance of a commercial building. The successful applicant will also need to have:
- An understanding of planned preventative maintenance programmes
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Experience of carrying out statutory compliance checks
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc)
Ideally, the successful candidate will also have:
- Experience in operating a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (“MEWP”)
- Experience in writing and reviewing Risk and Method statements
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems
- High standards in painting and decorating

We are looking for an individual who can plan and prioritise, show initiative, is able to work with minimal supervision and is willing to work outside office hours when required.
