Nelson Recruitment Services are urgently seeking a full time Cleaner in the Newport area to start immediately.
Location: NP19 4RH
Start Date: Monday 3rd August
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:00am – 2:00pm or 9:00am - 3:00pm
Pay: £12.71 per hour / weekly pay
Duties:
- Clean and sanitize cabin areas - including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and wipe surfaces to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other essentials to ensure availability at all times
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed to promote environmental responsibility
- Follow health and safety guidelines consistently to prevent accidents or contamination
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition through regular checks and proper storage
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time efficiently
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report issues effectively
- Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Positive attitude with a proactive approach toward maintaining a safe and hygienic environment
