Nelson Recruitment are urgently recruiting for a Customer Liaison Officer on behalf of their social housing client based in the Chester area. This is a temporary position for 4 weeks, with an immediate start available. Previous Customer Liaison Officer (CLO) experience is essential.

Location: Chester

Contract: Temporary - 4 weeks

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Pay: £16.11 Per Hour

The Project: Covering the Chester and Stoke regions, the role will deliver an ambitious carbon reduction and net zero programme, transforming the energy efficiency of homes across the North. Ideally, candidates will be based in Chester.

Customer Liaison Officer Responsibilities:

  • Proactively follow up on no-access properties to arrange retrofit survey appointments
  • Lead resident and community engagement initiatives and build strong local relationships
  • Deliver clear and effective communications to residents regarding scope and nature of works
  • Act as the main point of contact for residents, dealing with enquiries and concerns professionally and empathetically
  • Coordinate property access to ensure works are completed smoothly and on schedule
  • Resolve resident or access-related issues promptly, escalating where necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of communications, access arrangements, and issue resolutions

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience working as a Customer Liaison Officer or in a similar role
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism
  • Resilience and strong negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Available to interview and start immediately

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working within the Social Housing sector
