Nelson Recruitment Services are recruiting for a permanent Mill Setter / Operator on behalf of their manufacturing client based in West Bromwich. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join a well-established manufacturing business.

Pay & Hours

  • Hours: 39 hours per week
  • Shift Pattern (Rotating):
    • Week 1: Monday - Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm, Friday: 6:00am - 1:00pm
    • Week 2: Monday - Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm, Friday: 1:00pm - 8:00pm
  • Hourly Pay Rate: £13.50 - £15.15 (depending on experience)
  • Shift Allowance: 22% for rotating shifts

What You’ll Do

  • Set and operate cold roll forming mills, presses, and ancillary equipment
  • Produce parts at the required production rate and report any issues affecting output
  • Take responsibility for the quality of parts produced
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records
  • Ensure good 5S standards are maintained in the work area
  • Be actively involved in continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring

  • At least 5 years' experience setting and operating cold roll forming mills
  • Strong knowledge of roll forming processes
  • Experience setting and operating roll forming equipment, presses, and ancillary equipment
  • Press setting experience is desirable
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
  • Motivation to achieve and exceed targets safely while maintaining required quality standards
  • Ability to comply with and promote ATIRE and SQDC values
