Nelson Recruitment Services are recruiting for a permanent Mill Setter / Operator on behalf of their manufacturing client based in West Bromwich. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join a well-established manufacturing business.
Pay & Hours
- Hours: 39 hours per week
- Shift Pattern (Rotating):
- Week 1: Monday - Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm, Friday: 6:00am - 1:00pm
- Week 2: Monday - Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm, Friday: 1:00pm - 8:00pm
- Hourly Pay Rate: £13.50 - £15.15 (depending on experience)
- Shift Allowance: 22% for rotating shifts
What You’ll Do
- Set and operate cold roll forming mills, presses, and ancillary equipment
- Produce parts at the required production rate and report any issues affecting output
- Take responsibility for the quality of parts produced
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Ensure good 5S standards are maintained in the work area
- Be actively involved in continuous improvement activities
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
- At least 5 years' experience setting and operating cold roll forming mills
- Strong knowledge of roll forming processes
- Experience setting and operating roll forming equipment, presses, and ancillary equipment
- Press setting experience is desirable
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
- Motivation to achieve and exceed targets safely while maintaining required quality standards
- Ability to comply with and promote ATIRE and SQDC values
