Nelson Permanent Placements are working with our client who are hiring for an installation Electrician to join a leading engineering services company working at a busy manufacturing facility in Burton Latimer. This is a varied and hands-on role carrying out both reactive maintenance and planned electrical work across site. The successful candidate will join a professional maintenance team supporting critical operations within a fast-paced industrial environment.
To be considered for this role as an Installation Electrician you will have:
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing, industrial or production environment
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent Electrical qualification and an 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
- Experience working with 415VAC-24VDC systems and knowledge of 3 phase and single phase motors
- Experience installing and maintaining lighting circuits and LED lighting systems
- Experience with containment systems including ladder rack, conduit and basket, cable glanding including SWA and SY cables
- ATEX glanding experience would be advantageous
- Experience with panel wiring, control panels and safety circuits
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Good understanding of BS60204 and IP2X standards
- Strong awareness of health & safety within industrial environments
- Good communication and customer service skills
The key responsibilities of this role as an Installation Electrician are:
- Installing, repairing and maintaining electrical systems across site
- Working on motors, control panels, lighting systems and containment installations
- Completing electrical work orders to a high standard
- Updating and closing work orders using the company ERP system
- Working closely with the wider maintenance and engineering teams
- Following all health & safety procedures and company standards
- Maintaining strong communication with management and site teams
- Supporting continuous improvement and minimising production downtime
