Nelson Permanent Placements are recruiting for a building maintenance multi trade operative to be based permanantly on a static project in North Birmingham The candidate will be responsible for maintenance on a series of commercial buildings on one site. Core Responsibilities * Multi-Trade Repairs: Perform day-to-day reactive maintenance, patch repairs, and installations. This typically includes basic plumbing (leaks, sanitaryware), carpentry (doors, locks), patching, and painting or tiling. * First-Time Fix: Aim to complete repairs on the first visit to maintain high customer satisfaction. * Customer Care: Work respectfully inside occupied commercial spaces, communicating clearly with the public and clients. * Compliance & Safety: Follow health and safety regulations, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe working area. * Digital Admin: Use a company tablet or PDA to log job updates, manage stock, and record completed work orders. Key Requirements * Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in a core trade (such as carpentry, plumbing, or plastering), plus working skills in secondary trades. * Certifications: CSCS and a valid UK driving licence. * Experience: Background in multi trade, facilities maintenance, or general building upkeep.
