Nelson Permanent Placements are recruiting for Building Services Team Leader to be responsible for leading the day to day building maintenance activities on a busy manufacturing site. The role consists of overseeing and supporting the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance and repair work on the facility, ensuring jobs are completed within the agreed timescales. This is a hands-on delivery role and would suit somebody with a strong trades background such as plumbing, carpentry or multi-disciplined.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of skilled tradespeople
- Ensure activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with quality standards
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client, logging and monitoring work requests through a CMMS system
- Liaise with the service desk to ensure work is recorded logged and invoiced correctly
- Coordinate the availability of materials, equipment and external contractors
- Provide technical guidance, assess job requirements and preparing risk assessments and RAMS where required
- Promote strong health and safety culture
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience within building maintenance, facilities management or building services
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team
- Strong organisational and problem solving skills
- Demonstrate the ability to improve service
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills, ability to build positive working relationships
- Relevant trade experience
- Health and safety qualification
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience of working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
