Nelly Duff is looking for a highly motivated, meticulously organised Production and Digital Assistant Manager to join their team! Founded in 2006, Nelly Duff has become an internationally revered publisher of limited editions. The Gallery is nestled amid the creative heart of London’s East End, on Columbia Road’s famous flower market. This is an exciting opportunity to help lead the next phase of Nelly Duff, breaking new ground, working with incredible artists.

Overview

This role sits at the centre of the business, overseeing Production, Communications, Stock, Digital, and Retail Operations while supervising Gallery Assistants and acting as a key liaison between artists, printers, suppliers, and internal teams. The role combines hands‑on production management with strategic communications, budgeting oversight, and day‑to‑day operational leadership, managing end‑to‑end delivery across Production, Budgeting, Artist Relationships, Goods In, Communications, Web, Digital, Retail and Customer Service.

Core Responsibilities

  • Production & Print Management: Manage new print technical details from concept, proofing to completion in line with artist and director’s vision. Act as primary liaison with the Gallery Director, artists and artisan printers. Schedule all production timelines and weekly publishing releases in advance. Coordinate safe shipping and delivery of artworks. Oversee secure storage and organisation of editions/artworks at gallery and off‑site locations.
  • Artist Relationships: Onboard new artists and guide them through Nelly Duff processes. Act as lead artist liaison throughout production and release cycles. Provide regular production, sales, and stock updates. Manage artist stock levels and availability.
  • Budgeting & Financial Management: Calculate margin projections and sales requirements for each edition product with Google Sheets. Track and report all production in Trello, operational costs and create purchase orders for cost recouping. Maintain cost reporting and budget control. Process and record invoices and credit notes within Xero.
  • Imaging & Content: Oversee and shoot product and lifestyle photography. Manage image manipulation and colour correction using Adobe Photoshop. Ensure consistent file saving and asset management.
  • Goods In & Stock Management: Oversee new product creation within the CMS. Manage all product attributes and variations. Ensure accurate goods‑in processing for published, purchased and in‑stock items. Direct storage management and stock handling best practice.
  • Communications & Marketing: Develop and manage overall communications strategy for releases. Plan and deliver social media strategy – posting throughout the working week. Manage Meta Business account (setup and optimisation). Support sales and artist strategy through content. Oversee newsletter layout, copywriting, and scheduling. Manage copyright and video content production. Update and maintain homepage content. Manage product pages and artist bios. Monitor and improve UX and checkout journey. Report and track website faults. Use analytics to inform strategy and performance.
  • Video Content: Oversee video, reel, and short‑form content creation. Ensure all video content aligns with brand and sales objectives.
  • Retail Operations: Open and close the gallery on certain days. Lead artwork and framing sales. Act as shift manager when required. Maintain high on‑site presentation standards.
  • Customer & Team Management: Manage customer enquiries – in person or digitally through Instagram DMs or hello@nellyduff.com. Present and participate in team meetings.
  • Personal & Departmental Management: Deliver assigned project management work. Drive ongoing department development and improvement.
