Location: Nellsar Care Homes in Kent, Surrey and Essex
Contracted hours: 33-44 hours per week. Full-Time / Permanent
Hourly rate of pay: Starting from £12.50.
We are currently on the lookout for a positive and motivated individual to join our growing team as a Care Assistant. The job requires someone who is deeply passionate about caring for the elderly. You will need to have a genuine drive to assist those using our services, including our residents, their families and visitors.
What does the role involve?
- Providing physical and mental stimulation for residents by taking part in social and recreational activities, on a one-to-one and group basis.
- Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing.
- Assisting with meal times.
- Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care.
- Helping to maintain accurate records.
- Undertaking regular ongoing training.
What skills do I need?
- Caring, warm-hearted and compassionate nature
- The desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of others
- Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, care planning and record keeping
- Ability to monitor the well being of service users, monitoring/checking health conditions/vital signs of service users
- Diploma/NVQ/RQF/Nursing or Caring Qualifications desirable for this role
- Nursing/Caring experience desirable
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Adaptability
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
