Location: Sonya Lodge Care Home, 10 High Road, Wilmington, Dartford DA2 7EG

Contracted hours: 44 hours (to include – every other weekend free, as applicable)

(Hourly) rate of pay: From £13.50

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will enjoy being part of an exceptionally supportive team, welcoming you into providing outstanding physical, emotional, and social assistance to the people living at Sonya Lodge Care Home.

We are currently on the lookout for a positive and motivated individual to join our growing team as a Senior Health Care Assistant. We require someone who is deeply passionate about caring for the elderly. You will also need to have a genuine drive to manage a care team responsible for those using our services, including our residents, their families, and visitors.

You will have the opportunity to excel whilst:

  • Providing leadership to the care staff within the service.
  • Providing care in accordance with current best practices, policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations, under the direction of the manager.
  • Carrying out and supervise the care services within the organisation in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Maintaining skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may, from time-to-time, be required to maintain practices as up to date.
  • Supervising staff and ensuring that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
  • Supporting effective communication with the residents’ families, friends, advocates or representative around all aspects of care and wellbeing.
