Job Vacancy: Domestic Assistant
Location: Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home in Canvey Island, Essex SS8 7TN
Contracted hours: 9 & 12 Hours available (Evenings) - to include every other weekend free, as applicable. Work flexibility in accordance with your availability and the service requirements.
Hourly rate of pay: £13.00

The perfect role for you:
You will join a small, friendly team of Housekeepers, working together to maintain high standards across 36 bedrooms and communal areas. While you will usually work alongside your colleagues, there may be occasions, such as sickness or annual leave where you might find yourself in a smaller team, so confidence and reliability are important. This role suits someone who is adaptable, able to manage changing priorities, and comfortable working independently when needed.
The Domestic Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Following cleaning schedules and suggesting improvements when it is identified that they would improve practice.
- Laundry cleaning.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date records of all housekeeping tasks completed.
- Being responsible for understanding and applying the health and safety requirements of the role.
- Being responsible for understanding and applying the infection prevention and control requirements of the role.
- Experience of working with cleaning equipment and appliances and understanding the risks involved.
