The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

As a key part of our Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Service, the post holder will undertake CAMHS assessments of children and young people up to age 18 to inform formulation, diagnosis and recommendations for treatment. You will have a caseload, providing evidence‑based interventions to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out CAMHS assessments of children and young people up to age 18 to inform formulation, diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
  • Deliver a range of evidence‑based clinical interventions for children and young people and support training in additional treatment modalities.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with team members and partnership agencies (e.g., Social Services, Education).
  • Engage independently in multi‑agency and multi‑disciplinary work, fostering evidence‑based practice in childhood mental health.
  • Manage caseloads and deliver excellent clinical/therapeutic and case management services to this group of young people.

Qualifications

  • Experienced CAMHS Practitioner with knowledge of working with children and adolescents who present with mental health and significant behavioural difficulties.
  • Familiarity with evidence‑based practice in children’s mental health.
  • Strong independent working skills, with effective clinical, therapeutic and case‑management abilities.

Hiring Procedure

All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks. This includes mandatory training, systems training and allocation of equipment, and an opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers and participation in drop‑in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.

This post will be subject to a probationary period.
