We are working with a leading agency with expertise in sustainability strategy and reporting as well as a creative communications offering. They provide a range of services around corporate sustainability strategy, reporting on it, through to communications, branding and content for a diverse client roster. The agency is well established and has built a reputation based around its deep knowledge and experience in corporate Sustainability Programmes and reporting compliance.
Within this role, we are seeking a Junior Sustainability Consultant who has worked in a similar agency or consultancy environment. Ideally you’ll have experience as an Analyst or in a supporting role where you will have gained technical knowledge of ESG / Sustainability reporting and related frameworks and required disclosures. You’ll have an understanding of the corporate sustainability space more broadly and helped Consultants who advise on strategy for clients.
The role will see you supporting clients from a wide range of sectors including many large and well recognised multinationals. You’ll advance skills to enable you to advise and guide senior clients at different stages of the sustainability journey. The clients that you work with may have complex ESG and reporting needs and be based across different continents along with many other factors specific to them and their operations, so it is important that you have a willingness to build a deep knowledge of legislation, standards and the various frameworks for compliance, and to set out strategic roadmaps with clients for upcoming years.
The role will be varied and see you working on clients’ sustainability goals and KPI’s, Materiality and Double Materiality. You may work on emissions calculations, and ESG rankings and support on work for Client Workshops on upcoming regulatory changes and write white papers or thought leadership pieces. You’ll also collaborate with Reporting and Communications Consultants at the agency on projects and play a role in supporting more senior Consultants on New Business Proposals that help to win and develop accounts for the agency.
We are looking for:
- Experience from a Consultancy or Agency supporting Sustainability strategy and best practice on reporting.
- Understanding across frameworks for sustainability reporting, i.e. TCFD, SRS, SASB, etc.
- Knowledge of legislation and regulations across the UK and Europe including CSRD, ISSB, CSDDD, EU Taxonomy, and anti-greenwashing policies.
- Experience of working on double materiality assessments.
- Some knowledge around GHG emissions calculation, net-zero assessments, and Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
- An eagerness to ask questions, learn and develop your career as in Sustainability Strategy Consultancy.
